We use various brands of dermal fillers here at Faces. We’ll confirm which is right for you and the look you want to achieve during consultation but all are hyaluronic acid based, licensed for use in the UK and approved by insurers.

We use a topical cream on the skin before the treatment and the fillers we use contain an ingredient called Lidocaine which provides effective pain relief during the procedure. Pain thresholds can vary from one client to the next but the majority of people who come here experience nothing more than some discomfort during their treatment.

Yes, you will likely have some mild swelling. However, it will not be as much as what you would get with filler in other areas of the face such as lips. For most patients, the swelling from nose filler is minimal and subsides after 3-5 days.

No – the filler is being injected into the skin of the nose not into the nasal cavity itself so it will not affect your breathing. Nose fillers are only injected in the tissue of the nose

Most patients do not experience bruising after nose fillers – as we use very small needles. But if you are prone to bruising, then it is a possibility. If you are concerned about bruising it may be helpful for you to avoid alcohol or any blood thinners for 48 hours before your treatment and commence arnica tablets (5 per day) for 3 days prior to your treatment, providing you have no contraindications.

Some swelling is likely due to the insertion of a needle and the product that’s been injected. The blood supply within the face is made of thousands of vessels and capillaries which are very difficult to avoid, even for injectors as experienced as ours! We always take great care during treatment but some patients may bruise. We advise you to plan your appointment at least 2 weeks ahead of any event that you want to look your best for! It can take a couple of weeks for swelling and bruising to subside fully.

It is advisable to avoid wearing glasses or sunglasses after having the nose filler treatment. If possible your doctor will be able to advise you on the day of treatment how long you need to refrain from wearing glasses. It mainly depends on the area of the nose which is treated.

It is not common but it can move if you massage it or press on it too much immediately after treatment. It is therefore advisable to avoid massaging or pushing the nose after the non-surgical nose job treatment and to avoid any activities where there is a risk of the nose being inadvertently bumped or imprinted (such as wearing glasses or sunglasses for 24 hours after treatment). After the nose filler, it is better to leave your nose as it is.

You may notice a mild swelling/soreness straight after the non-surgical nose job procedure. This is a perfectly normal reaction to the injection, and it will subside in due course. A full list of side effects cautions and contraindications of the nose fillers will be discussed during your face-to-face consultation.

Hyaluronic acid is naturally found within our skin so the chance of a reaction to injected filler is very rare. Our practitioners are highly skilled individuals and not only do they know how to inject safely, they’re trained to be able to both diagnose and treat accordingly in the event of any complication during treatment. It’s very important that client’s follow all of the aftercare that is provided to ensure a fast, trouble free recovery!

We say that fillers in the lips can last around 9 to 12 months but treatment longevity can vary between patients as metabolism, lifestyle and whether you’ve had treatment previously can all have an effect. Fillers tend to take longer to break down if you’ve had the treatment before.

Yes, hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved using a product called hyaluronidase. This is an enzyme that once injected, works to break down the filler straight away. It can be used in an emergency situation, if someone is unhappy with results or if someone wants to start fresh for a new look that couldn’t be achieved with existing filler being present. patients wanting new filler after having old filler dissolved, should wait two weeks between treatments.
